"Blockchain & Sport, future or temporary trend?" - debate in Comparic TV

I had the pleasure of taking part in the debate "Sports and Blockchain, a temporary trend or the future?" as part of the "ABC of Investing" conference at the Comparic TV studio together with Pawel Laskarzewski of Synapse Network and Maciej Tomczyk, Robert Banaszek of Cryptoekipa.

The main conclusions of our debate are as follows:

The joint project of NFT Moments @fifa and @algorand on the occasion of the Qatar Championship is a good direction albeit not fully thought out. Too large a collection of NFT's and not very attractive moments. However, the collection is the first FIFA and from this point of view it can become valuable in the future.

Sports clubs should educate themselves on blockchain technology, diversify their activities related to building engagement among fans by introducing new instruments with the support of external professional partners

Blockchain companies are increasingly willing to advertise during mainstream sports events, and this will be a long-term trend

Sports clubs should combine Web2 and Web3 solutions giving more opportunities to build engagement among fans

The market is in the early stages of development, dependent on the one hand on the clubs themselves, their decisions and education, and on the other hand on the condition of the sector itself
